June 10 - 12 Triumph Come Home Rally

We had an excellent weekend at the Triumph Come Home Rally. Believe it or not, there was no rain what-so-ever!  We somehow dodged it all. Pack Members Terry Lanham, Ed Chiffon, Joe Winberry and Rich and Tanya Horsfield were all there at various times.. Caught up with Ron Woodhead (Woody) from the Nittany Pack and Garry Simmons and 2 of his Pittsburgh Pack members and Syke as well. We met a fellow from the Delphi Bonneville Forum and Woody and I hooked up with a guy from the Poconos who just bought a Speedmaster (1st bike ever) and rode to the event with only 300 miles on the bike.

The Jersey Devil RATs out of Mount Holly had 15 or more(?) members there! Quite impressive!

We went on an impromptu ride to Gettysburg and saw a lot of street rods in town (while stopping at a Rita's). Also went on another impromptu ride on Saturday afternoon. Both were great to get out there and have a relaxed ride with friends.

We took in the Tech seminar (entitled Things You Should Know that Aren't in Your Owner's Manual) which gave us a bunch of tips from John Healy.

The place was packed on Saturday. Loads of bikes in the British Show. 158 people at the Saturday banquet (the most ever!). Probably about 35+ bikes on the Lucas Night Run. Watched some field games (didn't participate).

Sunday's Triumph Show was great too. Woody and I judged the Hinckley classes.  It felt great that we picked a Bonnie that was also the People's Choice winner too (we must be doing something right!). You should see some of the bikes and the goodies people add to them. Quite tasteful too. The future classics class had a great mix of Bonnies, Speedmasters and Thunderbirds.

Rode bikes, ate food, drank beer and water, had ice cream (of course) spent time checking the vendors and catching up with old friends and making new. A great time!

Ron
