May 01 - May Day Ride to Yesteryear - Bill's Old Bike Barn

Walt and myself along with Mike from Harrisburg went from the Royals.  We hung around Hermy's a few extra minutes to see if there were any stragglers.  The sun poked out of the clouds as we were waiting at Hermy's.

Had a great ride up even with 1 wrong turn ;-).  We got to Bloomsburg way early.  Walked into Harry's Grill as they were opening up for the day.  A few minutes later, Fred, Cyndi and Jim from Harrisburg came in after riding up on a central PA route.  About 1/2 hour later, Woody and the State College gang came in mass.  I counted 17 of us at lunch - excellent!

The food was good.  It was great to catch up with folks we haven't seen since last year.

We rode over to Bill's Old Bike Barn around 2.  They were waiting for us with a fine reception.  Their very old dog (not sure what breed) come over to check everyone out and Bill had a parrot on his shoulder most of the time.

His collection has gotten larger since we were there last (2 yrs ago).  His recent expansion is now completed and he's looking to build more.  It is mostly Harley bikes and memorabilia in addition to many WWII vehicles and artifacts.  Throw a few boats and cars in for good measure.  The Moto Guzzi 3 wheeled truck drew a lot of attention.

Everyone enjoyed the time spent there.  Well worth the price of admission ($5.00).
